Whether you are moving from one set of offices to another or you’re looking to find your first official home as a business, it is important to give careful thought to precisely the type of offices that are best suited to your particular needs.

Two of the most popular and viable options out there in this context are serviced offices and conventional offices. Both of which have plenty of appeal to businesses aiming to grow and develop their operations.

 

Ease and simplicity

Among the most appealing advantages of using serviced offices is that the process of moving into them is generally very simple and straightforward. Startups and small businesses in particular can benefit a great deal from signing up to serviced offices and finding that everything they need from a workspace is effectively ready for them to use from day one.

Signing up to a serviced office occupancy deal for any length of time also makes life easier for businesses in that they only need to pay one company a single amount of money each month or each quarter rather than a multitude of different service providers. All of which can help businesses to keep their costs down and save them time that could be better spent focussing on other issues.

Arranging to rent and occupy an area of traditional office space is generally rather less straightforward from a business point of view. That doesn’t mean though that it isn’t the right option under any circumstances. Conventional office leases give occupants more control over how their space will look and how it will be utilised – it’s just that they need to make all that happen for themselves.

 

Budgeting and building for the future

Deciding between using serviced offices or leasing conventional offices is not easy in certain situations but the key issues are likely to be about how you want to plan your budgets as a business and how you intend to build for the future.

For a lot of companies, serviced offices will provide the perfect solution because they will allow scope for rapid growth or for commitments to be scaled back on short notice. So some companies will value that flexibility above anything else, whereas others will appreciate the security and the certainty of having a conventional lease on a specific set of high quality offices.

Some businesses can look to the future and know with certainty what their office needs will be in two, three, four or five years’ time but many will not have that kind of clarity and so the flexibility of serviced offices can therefore be preferable to a conventional rental arrangement.

Having a conventional leasing deal in place in relation to a set of high quality offices in a prestigious location can be a source of huge pride and an important degree of financial security for some businesses. Indeed, a set of offices can make a significant contribution to the identity for a company that’s aiming to achieve sustainable success. So having a rental deal on a great set of offices can be important for a variety of different reasons.

On the other hand, serviced offices can give businesses access to prestigious and high calibre office facilities on the basis of considerably more flexible and affordable terms than those involved in traditional leasing arrangements. Ultimately, there is no one size fits all office space solution and it is all about finding the right space for you and your business on an individual basis.
